As activities for the forthcoming general elections continue to gather momentum, a non-governmental organization known as Onwa Offerekpe Foundation has reiterated its commitment to sustain the tempo of securing victory for their Grand Patron, Speaker Ebonyi State House of Assembly and APC gubernatorial candidate, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru in the 2023 general elections.

Speaking during the meeting held yesterday in Abakaliki, the local government chairman of the foundation, Mr Paul Igwe Nwachukwu on behalf of the entire members of the foundation conveyed their warm congratulatory message to their Grand Patron, Rt. Hon. Nwifuru for his victory in the APC primary poll, stressing that no amount of distraction can stop Mr Speaker from becoming the next governor of Ebonyi State.
Mr Igwe Nwachukwu who charged all the members of the foundation to be more committed to supporting their Grand Patron also advised them never to backslide in taking the campaign messages to the grassroots level.
Also speaking, the National President of Izzi Nnodo Youth Forum, who is also a member of the foundation, Comrade Ben Nwovu, encouraged all and sundry to disregard any kind of rumour that may be intended to discredit Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is the authentic APC Gubernatorial Candidate of Ebonyi State in the recently concluded primary election by a few selfish individuals who do not mean well to Ebonyians.
Others who made their feelings known, including the women leader of the foundation, Mrs Rose Ede, and the publicity secretary, Mr Igwe David among others, all emphasized the need to work as a chain to achieve the collective aim of seeing the emergence of their Grand Patron as the successor of Governor David Nweze Umahi in 2023.
The foundation also used the opportunity to congratulate other members of APC who emerged victorious in the just concluded polls, including Hon. Emma Uguru, who was given the party's mandate to run for the position of Honourable Member Representing Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency at the green chamber of the National Assembly, Hon. Onyekachi Nwebonyi, as the flag bearer of Ebonyi North Senatorial seat in the upper chamber of the National Assembly, and Hon. Maxwell Umahi for Abakaliki North Constituency in Ebonyi State House of Assembly, and wished them well in their future ambitions.
