Chief Fidelis Nwankwo, Ebonyi PDP Gubernatorial Aspirant.
An aspirant for the Abakaliki-Izzi Federal Constituency, Barr. Patrick Mbam (Omata) under the platform of the PDP has endorsed Engr Fidelis Nwankwo for the gubernatorial position in Ebonyi State come 2023.
Mbam who led his campaign team to endorse Nwankwo described him as the leading governorship aspirant under the platform of PDP in Ebonyi State ahead of Ebonyi State PDP primary elections.
He said: "I have studied all the Ebonyi State Governorship aspirants under PDP and other political parties in Ebonyi State, and I have come to discover that Engr. Chief Fidelis Nwankwo is the only man who can change the narratives of Ebonyi State.
"He has the experience, capacity and wherewithal to do it and that's why I have come with fa ew of my team to show solidarity."
Barr. Mbam also urged other aspirants especially the governorship aspirants from the Izhi clan to come together and support Nwankwo "because it's only him who can settle the kindred dichotomy in the Izhi clan."
Responding, Engr. Chief Fidelis Nwankwo applauded Barr. Mbam for coming to show solidarity and promised him that he would not regret his step.
"You have taken a bold and courageous step today. I thank you so much and you are never going to regret it. Recent events have shown that the indeed dichotomy in the Izhi clan was imported by outsiders as a campaign strategy, but it's our responsibility to fight it now we are still alive.
"You can ask your campaign Chairman here. He was a Ward Chairman of our then Party, SDP when I was Izzi Local Government Chairman in 1991. There was nothing like the kindred dichotomy in our government. Everyone was duly and equally accommodated..."
Also, Chief Christ Lebara appreciated Barr. Mbam and his campaign team for coming to show solidarity.
