In Ebonyi, the African Democratic Congress, ADC has conducted its State and National Assembly primaries and produced the candidates who would fly the party's flag in all the constituencies in the state, come 2023 general elections.
The primary election for the State House of Assembly contenders was held Thursday as the exercise for both the candidates for the House of Representatives and Senate took place on Friday.
Our correspondent who monitored the exercise reports that Samuel Nwojiji emerged as the flag bearer for Ebonyi North Senatorial District while Henry Chukwu Ukapi was elected winner of the Ebonyi Central Senatorial ticket, and Akpa-Nwaze Macson Innocent won the ticket for Ebonyi South Senatorial District.
The Chairman Electoral Committee of the party, Deaconess Benerdethe Ozibo while announcing the results at Fatilami Park in Abakaliki, declared the exercise the freest, fair, peaceful and credible as all the candidates were elected unopposed.
The State Chairman of the party, Comrade Jennifer Adibe-Nwafor while congratulating the winners, expressed joy over the hitch-free atmosphere which glimpsed the exercises.
She also expressed optimism that the governorship primary election coming up Saturday would record more friendly and successful outings.
Recall that the exercise recorded the presence of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Security operatives, pressmen, party officials and members, among others.
