Before I unveil this calm, intelligent, strategic and progressive detribalized Nigerian technocrats, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu whose idea birthed a new progressive Party, let me take your mind to the hall of political shame and dishonour that took place at Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, Igboayaka O. Just last Saturday, 28 May 2022 Nigerians witnessed the presidential primaries of the leading opposition party, the People's Democratic Party, (PDP). The impacts of that convention have continued to elicit controversial debates among Nigerians, as justice fairness and equity were murdered in a broad daylight.
What seems to be shocking is the intentional dollars competition between some of the leading aspirants who practically bought the delegates with their money in a show of shame and the international monumental disgrace of Nigeria. Most disgraceful was that while one of the desperate aspirants, His Excellency Governor Nyesom Wike was busy sharing dollars in Abuja, a stampede took place in his state, as people had gone to churches to beg for food and other relief materials. Meanwhile, before this time, the governor had severally donated billions of state funds to other states.
Unfortunately, the National Chairman, Presidential candidate and Board of Trustees Chairman of PDP are all from Northern Nigeria. ObTheeople's Democratic Party(PDP) has suddenly become a Northern political party that has posed a threat to our National Unity. Right now, the consolidation for all progressive Nigerians lies in the All Progressive Congress, APC.
With the PDP show of shame gone and its attendant disapproval from all parts of Nigeria especially the South East region and Ndigbo at large, Ohanaeze Youth Council OYC the apex Socio-cultural leading Youth Organization associations has x-rayed the presidential aspirants from the South-east, with an apparent wide consultation with the youths, political elites, region leaders and a hand of "TRUST" and "CONFIDENT" keep pointing at Dr Ogbonnaya Onu
I have also extended my consultation across Igbo land, to South-South, Southwest and Northern part of Nigeria and the result is still the same, multiple hands of " UNITY & TRUST" keep pointing at Dr Ogbonnaya Onu.
It's a truism that personally to me, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu might be my preferred choice, but the choice of every good leader depends on the choice of the people he or she is leading. As a good democrat, I have no choice other than to succumb to the choice of the over Millions of Igbo youth that gave me the responsibility to preside their Socio-cultural and socio-political affairs.
I have no doubts, whatsoever and I even am very reluctant to say it, that the candidacy of Dr Ogbonnaya Onu brings all Nigerians together and without leaving any stone unturned, will unite even the country's political enemies. It's our Igbo common concept that Dr Ogbonnaya Onu is " Oje Mba Enweghi Iro". To my shocking inquiry, if someone asks other presidential aspirants, to make another choice apart from themselves whom they can trust for president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria all Aspirant's hands point at Dr Ogbonnaya Onu.
Dr Ogbonnaya Onu is a unifier, and I was convinced about this Truth after my wide consultation among all the Ethnic Nationalities Youth Leaders in Nigeria, and when we saw the campaign slogan of Dr Ogbonnaya Onu which is"Stronger Together" everything fall in conformity of my inquiry.
It's a historical fact that the trust Dr Ogbonnaya Onu had in President Mohammadu Buhari birthed the All Progressive Congress APC, whose political inventive ingenuity captured the need for a merger to change the political narrative of a perceived one-party system, which People Democratic Party PDP used to mortgage the future of over 200 Million Nigerians.
The narrative Bola Tinubu gave recently about APC's presidential race against President Mohammadu Buhari in 2015 is untrue, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu (ANPP) discussed the idea of a merger with President Mohammadu Buhari (CPC) before they brought Bola Tinubu(ACN) into the arrangements.
Therefore, the "Stronger Together" ideology of Dr Ogbonnaya Onu's 2023 campaign slogan is a demonstration of the unity of Nigeria that runs in his veins. The Zoning arrangements within APC and geopolitical Zfavoursvors Dr Onu Ogbonnaya, in 2015 CPC political family took President, ACN political family took Vice President, while ANPP political family led by Ogbonnaya Onu took, "Patient" Yes, Dr Onu is a patient dog who is not desperate for power.
Stronger Together is a rear slogan and a deep slogan that has an economic connotation. Dr Ogbonnaya Onu already had the idea that Nigeria can beat China in subsequent years, with the concept of "Stronger Together" which implies a Bigger population, and a big and strong economy. "Stronger Together" implies a big population and big market, and a big market will give multiple sales and great labour. I have seen a man who will convert the population of Nigeria into economic capital.
The delegates of APC and stakeholders especially the Southeast and Southerners should ensure that "Together of all their votes and endorsement to Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, stronger the APC will become with a Strong winning across Nigeria.
Now, recounting the numerous qualities of Dr Onu's likeable personality among the political class breaks the barrier of mistrust; he deserves a chance at the presidency. There's a belief that in the manner President Buhari has handled the affairs of the ruling All Progressives Congress, especially at times like this Dr Ogbonnaya Onu stands out as experienced, morally sound and loaded with emotional maturity to turn the fortunes of this country around.
Without any doubt, we believe that His Excellency President Mohammadu Buhari has known Dr Onu for a long time and knows that he can unite Nigeria as a generally acceptable aspirant, whom the North is comfortable with as well other regions of the Zone.
I can't agree less that Dr Ogbonnaya Onu is a man of rare character who has far less appetite for material accumulation of wealth compared to most of the other aspirants.
The enormous crisis in Nigeria doesn't require someone whose candidacy will hit the polity, but it requires a candidacy whose personality will be generally acceptable, hence a thorough consultation made shows Dr Ogbonnaya Onu a round peg in a round hole.
Finally, I wish to use this medium to advise the delegates and Stakeholders of Southeast All Progressive Congress, APC to avoid being on the "Black List of "SOUTHEAST SABOTEURS" as has been regrettably demonstrated by Southeast PDP delegates and stakeholders led by political Saboteurs and profiteers like Emeka Ihedioha, Sen Sam Daddy Nnaemeka Anyanwu, Okezie Ikpeazu, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and their cohorts.
Today we have known that the real enemies of Ndigbo from the South-east extraction are the People's Democratic Party (PDP). We shall also keep the record of the All Progressive Congress APC.
