Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State and Mr Peter Obi - the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate.
How beautiful would it be if the two mature and wise brethren, Governor Umahi and Peter Obi were to be a fine pair fielded by APC and PDP, in the ongoing Presidential race towards 2023 in Nigeria from their parties?
Let's have a reflection on the political manoeuvres of the powers that be, who make use of advantage and commit big errors in the environments of beautiful public relationships.
It happens when the right thing is not done at the right time and in the right way, to attract good attention from the public sector
You may be wondering why this caption is coming at this hour when it has passed the right time to do it right as expected by those concerned at the top.
But I will tell you that what I am going to say here was sincerely suggested at the earlier time by fine thinkers, but was put into the trash box by the big shots in the politics of decision-making.
It was those in the old-timer politics, who oftentimes think of themselves alone for today that crushed fairness, justice and truth underfoot of cruelty.
For a long in the past and in the immediate time, the Southeast people old and young in their various groups gathered, talked together, did all they could do, and looked towards a future to be considered right for the Zone to produce a President in Nigeria, but to no avail up till now and it was not new nor a hidden story.
The current Nigerian republic politics was mostly Presided over by PDP and APC, for all Nigerians for nearly 24 years now. But the Southeast didn't.
My Spirit spotted the error of PDP and APC at the onset till today in the deprivation issue.
The fresh error appeared when Governor Umahi of Ebonyi State told PDP, to consider zoning the Presidency to the Southeast of Nigeria in 2023 but they entirely refused his plea and fine ideas.
He warned that it was not just for him to be the one field in the race, but that the Southeast deserved it with her numerous potentials who are qualified.
He was not wisely selfish about it and gave more good reasons for his position, but they turned suspicion into another thing.
Then at last he joined APC and it became a global controversy because it was noised abroad.
PDP felt jilted and started a bad campaign against him as if he committed a culpable offence.
I thought PDP would correct the error if they felt bad about the exit of Governor Umahi and can pick any preferable Igbo man.
The man I thought they could have turned to pick was Peter Obi, who was still with them at that time but it was not so. He wasn't even sighted as good.
Then to an extent as if PDP was reconsidering their stand to go the right way, they went North again because of the reasons best known to them regarding their immediate points of need.
I think Peter Obi watched the drama closely and might have seen what Governor Umahi saw and also left PDP in silence.
And later, he joined the Labor Party which now made him run the Presidential race for them, as an able Igbo man from the rejected Southeast of Nigeria.
The second error was the one that APC committed during the Presidential Primary elections when they dropped the younger Aspirants and went the archaic way to make their own choice.
Governor Umahi, a younger generation product that was looked upon as a Presidential hopeful was dropped by APC along with others. Southeast was avoided and also hindered.
Two wrongs can never make a right and that is now the wrong case with the APC & the PDP.
I am not God who has his way to judge between the error of mortals and the correct way of the Spirit of discernment.
But from the look of things now about the politics of wealth and money, it appears we are going to witness a colossal display of affluence with private jet planes flying over the ground level and above the heads of the people.
And again from the new look of things now about the politics of wealth and money, it appears we are going to witness some ugly reactions from the field of telling opponents, to shut their mouths up for raising objections.
This is at a time when peace, calm and quiet should prevail with the younger generation in the race, cruising around the Seren environments of security, public joy, love and harmony.
It would have been a welcome development with the younger generation if APC and the PDP had chosen two brethren from the Southeast, who are young enough to break into the heart of the electorate at this period.
The electorate wouldn't have avoided welcoming the two brethren, Governor Umahi and Peter Obi if APC and PDP had chosen them from their Parties to run the Presidential race.
Two rights can make it right and possible for God, to see that all is well with Nigeria if the right thing has been done at the right time and in the right way.
Let me sight one clear biblical example of any failure to do the right thing at the right time and in the right way. Nemesis can occur and the people will suffer.
It was a very bad case with the people of Israel and a due time for revival came for the healing of the people, and a better fence-mending of the nation in trouble of error and a mess.
It was brought under the reign of Hezekiah, who was the right man chosen by God at the right time, to do the right thing and in the right way to heal the people.
This type of case can apply to Nigeria likewise in this analysis, judging from today's problems facing the masses at this time.
In the biblical book of the 2nd Chronicles chapter 29 verses 6 & 8, verse 6 said: "For our fathers have trespassed, and done that which was evil in the sight of God, and have forsaken him, and have turned their faces from the habitation of the LORD, and turned their backs."
In verse 8 it said; "Wherefore the wrath of the LORD was upon Juda and Jerusalem, and he had delivered them to trouble, to astonishment, and hissing, as ye see with your eyes."
How many Nigerians will tell me now that people are not suffering setbacks of all sorts?
It is only a few lots who take the nation for a ride that isn't seen complaining but campaigning for themselves to be in power.
How many Nigerians will tell me now that APC and PDP are not flexing stubborn muscles in the race for the Presidency?
How many Nigerians will tell me now who is right and who is wrong, with the two warring fat grand grandfathers in the Presidential race trying to undo one another before 2023?
How many Nigerians will tell me now that all is well with the situation on the ground, where the two Titans may depend on the wealth and affluence they float about in the air, not on grounds of public acceptance to amass power in 2023? Will Nigeria be amended by their actions? Can she live? Can Nigeria stand for them? Will Nigerians be fooled?
How many Nigerians will tell me now that any of those two wrong choices, instead of the younger generation of the right choices is mindful of God, as they pursue the seat of top ultimacy in power? Will Nigeria revive? How will she see light?
How many Nigerians will tell me now that the two post-era figures had ever gone to pray earnestly, and sincerely in their closets for Nigeria to heal?
How many Nigerians will tell me now that the two new-era power-seeking elders are interested in the amendment, in the healing and the revival of Nigeria? What will it be at last?
How many Nigerians will tell me now that the two fat lions are ready to allow challenges to face them for corrections in the ways they go, as they are busy shutting up the mouth of their opponents and the electorate, flying above the reach of the populace who are just below?
Now how beautiful would it be assuming the two Southeast brethren, Governor Umahi and Peter Obi were picked together, by APC and PDP to run the race with the Presidential tickets in 2023? Let's wait on the LORD.
To God is the glory forever.
