Our Correspondent reports that the event held at the Federal Lawmaker's Item Amagu Ikwo country home in Ebonyi State was massively honoured by his constituents went home with a bag of rice, cash, clothes and other gifts.
Ogah also distributed not less than 200 motorcycles to his constituents during the occasion.
Interacting with journalists, the two-term Green Chambers Lawmaker, said the massive votes given to him by his constituents during the election had been the motivating force behind the gesture.
His words: "I always deem it necessary to celebrate with my constituents on this day. It's their votes that made me what I am today. If not for their votes, I would have not been in the National Assembly.
"I'm the privileged person among them because so many of them are qualified to be in the National Assembly. But for the fact I'm representing them, I must be accountable to them.
"I must serve, feed and answer their call by addressing their needs. This is part of complementing the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu and the People's Charter of Needs agenda of our workaholic governor, Chief Francis Nwifuru.
"200 motorcycles were distributed to youths and women to ease their transportation in the rural areas. Other materials including rice, clothes, wrappers, mattresses, etc were equally distributed to them.
"We have 497 polling units in this constituency and none of them was left behind. We also extend hands of fellowship to other people from different parts of our state and beyond. We budgeted for 40,000 people and each of them got gifts including cash for transportation.
"In 2024, our programs will continue and by July we will commission projects. All of you have been seeing roads, and water schemes, among others I attracted to my constituency.
"By next year, we will empower more youth. Today, 200 persons were given motorcycles. Almost 10, 000 from Ikwo will start to receive 25, 000 Naira, while 7,000 from Ezza South will receive the money. The people from the World Bank are here because they are on the list. What we do here is a practical politics."
