Governor Francis Nwifuru has donated three brand new Nissan Hiluxes to the security agencies to combat crimes in Ebonyi State.
He made the donation in his office, Ochoudo Centenary City, Abakaliki on Wednesday.
The benefitting security agencies of the vehicles included the Nigeria Immigration Service, the Nigeria Correctional Service and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
The governor explained that he gave the vehicles to the security agencies to ensure their adequate mobility in the State in line with their statutory responsibilities of security of lives and property.
Governor Nwifuru who was represented by his Special Assistant in his office, Chief Uchenna Nwamkpuma enjoined the benefitting security agencies to use the vehicles only in combating crimes and their related matters.
He thus, handed over the operational vehicles to the heads of the security agencies.
Responding on behalf of the benefitting Security Agencies, the State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Mr Elijah Willie thanked Governor Nwifuru for the gesture.
Willie assured that the State's security architecture would receive a boost courtesy of the gesture.
