IPAC made this known when its members had an inaugural meeting with Governor Nwifuru's Special Assistant on Inter-Party Affairs, Comrade Sunday Nwambam yesterday in Abakaliki, the State capital.
Addressing journalists after the meeting, Comrade Nwambam commended the IPAC members for their verdict to be supportive of the present state government, and described their backing of Governor Nwifuru-led administration as a practical step to strengthen good and inclusive governance in the state.
He described Nwifuru as Governor of every Ebonyi citizen, in his words, the IPAC members are not an exception.
He commended Governor Nwifuru for having shown capacity in delivering his campaign manifesto anchored on the Peoples Charter of Needs especially his determination to revamp health, education, civil service system and other major sectors in the state.
He said: "Today is our first inaugural meeting. During the meeting, the State Commissioner for Inter-Party Affairs introduced me to the IPAC members. IPAC members warmly welcomed me and commended His Excellency the Governor for my appointment as his aide on Inter-Party Affairs.
"I used the opportunity to call all the leaders and members of the registered political parties in the state to continue to support the administration of our dear governor.
"It's obvious that the 2023 general elections have come and gone and what is on board now is governance. In governance, there's only one Governor that we have and he needs our unwavering support to continue to deliver his mandate.
"He has demonstrated capacity, especially in the areas of infrastructure development, health, education and civil service reforms. He paid gratuities and pensions for retired workers from 1996 till date. He has embarked on building human capital and general empowerment for the citizens especially the less privileged ones in the state.
"The Governor's promising governance has been applauded by the members of the opposition parties. That's why mass defection to the ruling APC from the other parties has been recorded in his less than a year in office."
He assured of uniting IPAC members and reducing unnecessary litigations as he disclosed the council's plan to conduct its state election on 28th March 2024.
Also speaking, the immediate past Special Assistant to the State Governor on Inter-Party and Labour Matters, Dr Jennifer Adibe-Nwafor congratulated her successor, Comrade Sunday Nwambam.
She commended Governor Nwifuru for appointing Nwambam to help him oversee the inter-party affairs in the state. She assured that the members of IPAC would assist the Governor's aide to move the ministry forward.
She advised her successor to sustain the good legacies already built by the former administration in the office while assuring of her unwavering support for Governor Nwifuru-led government.
"We are assuring the government that we are going to maintain peace in IPAC by working together with the Honourable Commissioner and Special Assistant to the Governor on Inter-Party Affairs. IPAC stands for good governance, and we are very happy with the People's Charter of Needs, the campaign manifesto of our dear Governor which has become evident in the state."
The IPAC State Chairman, Mr Ernest Nwaze equally appreciated Governor Nwifuru for recognising the Ministry of Inter-Party Affairs and described his new appointees taking care of the ministry as the square pegs in the square holes.
