President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in Dr Jeremiah Ogbonna Nwankwegu as a Federal Commissioner in the National Population Commission (NPC).
Performing the function on Wednesday 13th March 2024, at the State House Abuja, President Bola Tinubu swore in Nwankwegu and sixteen others as federal Commissioners in the National Population Commission (NPC).
It would be recalled that Dr Jeremiah Nwankwegu and sixteen other Commissioners were appointed as Federal Commissioners in the National Population Commission on November 2023 and passed through senate screening on 7th February 2024.
They were waiting for their swearing-in into their offices.
Speaking after the event, Dr Nwankwegu thanked his team supporters and President Bola Tinubu for finding him worthy and appointed him to represent Ebonyi State as a Federal Commissioner in the National Population Commission.
He equally thanked Ebonyi state Governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru whom he described as his "pride" for making it possible.
Nwankwegu said: "Thanks to His Excellency, Rt Hon Bldr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, all my family members, friends and entire Ebonyians.
"The inauguration is done and dusted by Mr president and am now a full-fledged Hon Federal Commissioner representing Ebonyi State in National Population Commission.
"To God be the glory and by extension immense thanks to His Excellency our Governor my pride Rt Hon Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for making our state the pride of the nation and I pledged to contribute my quota in fulfilling his people's charter of needs mantra. I am indeed indebted. Once again thanks for everything."
