Dr Okechukwu Ogbonna popularly known as Original and Ekwueme of the Ndiegu Okpuitumo community in the Abakaliki local government area of Ebonyi State in an interview with our newsman, said he introduced the Afala ceremony to thank God for His gift and grace that has made his trade as a herbalist to sell over eight years now.
He noted that people from Ebonyi state and beyond honoured the event following his bravery in healing patients who suffered positions, attacks, stroke infertility and other spiritual-related problems.
He said, his spiritual healing gift stopped him from becoming a school leaving Certificate owner, but thanked God for using him as His instrument in the herbal healing world, attracting good testimonies cutting across academic, business, socio-political and cultural breakthroughs.
He commended the leadership of the Chairman of Abakaliki local government area of Ebonyi State, Chief Stephen Ebere Nwogba whom he described the the people's leader.
According to him, Nwogba has made the council people proud in his current office, saying that his second tenure election is not negotiable.
He equally eulogized the leadership style of Governor Francis Nwifuru and Senator Onyekachi Nwebonyi since they assumed their respective offices.
