The Chairman of the Action Alliance (AA) in Ebonyi State, Godwin Ukwu has expressed optimism that his party would be returned victorious in the forthcoming grassroots elections in Ebonyi state.
The AA State Chairman declared this immediately after he visited the office of the Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission (EBSIEC) yesterday in Abakaliki.
Briefing journalists on the preparedness of the Action Alliance towards the fast-approaching local government and ward council elections, Ukwu maintained that his party is fully prepared to participate in the exercise.
Emphasizing his strong conviction in the AA victory of in the electoral contest, the State Chairman highlighted the commitment of the electoral commission to ensure a level playing field for all political parties, a factor, he claimed that has boosted his optimism for success.
"I'm rooted in the assurance provided by the electoral body and the state governor regarding the conduct of free and fair elections in Ebonyi State," he hinted.
He emphasized that the absence of candidate imposition by the state government signifies a significant step towards ensuring that the people of Ebonyi have the opportunity to make their choices without external influence.
According to him, the upcoming local government election in Ebonyi State is poised to be a pivotal moment for various political parties, with the Action Alliance gearing up to make a significant impact.
