The Concerned Youth of Ezza South on Saturday morning in Abakaliki presented a cheque of 25 million Naira to Mr Sunday Nwali and persuaded him to aspire for the council chairmanship position in the forthcoming local government polls in Ebonyi State.
The President of the Concerned Youths of Ezza South LGA, Alex Ifeanyi Oguta presented the cheque to Nwali.
Oguta described the donation of the money to Nwali as the youth's financial support to him in his pursuit of public office in the forthcoming council elections in Ezza South.
The youth President further described the gesture by his members as a testament to Mr. Nwali's selfless service to humanity, particularly Ezza South.
"As the Concerned Youths of Ezza South, led by Alex Ifeanyi Oguta, we are honoured to present a cheque of 25 million naira to support Mr Nwali's pursuit of public office in the forthcoming council elections in Ebonyi State for Ezza South.
"His remarkable antecedents in sponsoring students for overseas studies, paying school fees for indigent students, and covering WAEC fees for the less privileged are a few examples of his unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of our people.
"His philanthropic gestures have positively impacted countless lives, inspiring hope and fostering a sense of community. Every year, Mr. Nwali popularly known as Smano celebrates Christmas, Easter, and other Yuletides with the rich and poor in ways that show he is a beacon of hope.
"Mr Nwali's dedication to social activities in Ezza South and beyond has been exemplary. He has consistently demonstrated a passion for the welfare of others, often going above and beyond to support the needy. His leadership and vision are precisely what we need to propel our LGA forward, and we believe he is the ideal candidate to represent our interests.
"This presentation is not only a show of appreciation for Mr Nwali's tireless efforts but also a demonstration of our confidence in his ability to excel in public office. We urge him to utilize this support to pursue his political aspirations; knowing that the youths of Ezza South stand firmly behind him.
"As we present this cheque to Mr Nwali, we are not only investing in his political ambition but also in the future of our great LGA. We are confident that his leadership will bring about positive change and progress, and we look forward to celebrating his victory in the forthcoming council election.
"We are aware of the harsh economic realities in our country today, that's why we levied ourselves as concerned youths and brought this cheque to ensure nothing stops you from taking the mantle of leadership in our dear Local Government Area.
"We believe you are in the best position to uphold the leadership mantra of our dear Governor, His Excellency, Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru which is anchored on people's charter of needs.
"Thank you, Mr. Nwali, for your selflessness and dedication to our community. We wish you success in your political endeavours and look forward to seeing the positive impact you will make in our LGA", Oguta said.
Mr Nwali Sunday, who said he was overwhelmed, described the gesture as a good one and vowed not to disappoint both the youths and the elders.
"I am overwhelmed. It is a good one and I want to tell you, people, to take it to them. I will not disappoint you. Not minding the economic hardship, you took it up to do this. I will reawaken that long aesthetic value where the elders in Ezza south will respect viz- a -viz the youth. Every kobo of Ezza south will be accounted for," Nwali assured.
