The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC has urged Corps members to channel their efforts towards the development of Nigeria within their one-year compulsory service to the nation.

She explained: "Barely 3 weeks ago, these corps members arrived in Ebonyi State in response to the clarion call and were registered for the National Service.
"While in the orientation course, corps members were taken through a series of activities such as para-military drills, citizenship and leadership training, Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development training, drug-free and Motivational lectures, Security tips, and Cultural and Language studies amongst others.
"Having completed this orientation exercise, I am convinced that they are ready to excel during the service year and beyond.
"This set of corps members has been very unique in carrying out their assigned duties. They have displayed a great sense of oneness, diligence, discipline and dedication to duty.
"This remarkable bonding existing among them is a clear indication that the scheme is achieving its objectives of developing common ties among the youths, thereby promoting national Unity and Integration. So I commend you all for your commitment and good conduct during this orientation course.
"My dear children, any moment from now, you will receive your posting letters to your Places of Primary Assignment. This posting was done taking cognizance of your courses of study and the government policy of posting corps members to four critical areas of the economy such as; Education, Rural Infrastructure, Agriculture and Health.
"I, therefore,e, urge you to accept your postings in good faith and go out there and contribute your quota to the development of your host community and Ebonyi State at large."
