The Honourable members of the National Assembly from Ebonyi State have reiterated their unwavering commitment to throwing their full weights behind the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Right Honourable Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru to achieve uncommon development in the State.
The Senator representing Ebonyi North Senatorial District and Senate Deputy Chief Whip, Distinguished Senator Peter Onyekachi Nwebonyi dropped the hints yesterday, 12th May 2024 at Amagu Onicha Primary School in Abakaliki LGA, during the Special Thanksgiving and Empowerment Programme of their colleague, Honourable Emmanuel Uguru, Member of the House Representatives, overseeing Abakaliki/Izzi Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Abuja.
Senator Nwebonyi who doubles as the Nigerian Representative in ECOWAS Parliament expressed hearty gratitude to Governor Nwifuru for his graciousness and fatherly support extended to all the members of the National Assembly of Ebonyi state extraction without any discrimination.
"Your Excellency, first is to thank you for making time to be here life, it is not every Governor that will be disposed to attend functions of National Assembly Members, given your crowding schedules, but as Honourable Chinedu Ogah said, the National Assembly from Ebonyi state are lucky to have you as our governor. This is the only Governor who is not expecting from the National Assembly members, instead, you have always given us, and I want to assure Your Excellency that, we are going to work with you to attract unprecedented development in Ebonyi State, Senator Nwebonyi stated".
While extolling the leadership ingenuity of the Governor in the areas of human capital and infrastructural development, Senator Nwebonyi commended Governor Nwifuru for erecting befitting palaces for Ebonyi traditional rulers.
" Just this afternoon, I visited one the traditional rulers in Ebonyi State and I saw the befitting palace, you are building for over one hundred traditional rulers in Ebonyi State, the Senator added".
Senator Nwebonyi who also stood in for the Honourable Minister for Works, Engineer Senator David Nweze Umahi in the function congratulated Honourable Emmanuel Uguru for touching the lives of his constituents and assured the preparedness of the Honourable Minister for Works to connect the Abuja- Abakaliki road networks already captured in the budgets which will undoubtedly transform Ebonyi State into the gateway state to the federal capital territory, Abuja.
The Performing Senator Nwebonyi further stated that the full implementation of all the projects advertised by his colleague as already captured in the 2024 Federal government budget will radically transform and put smiles on the faces of Ebonyians in no small measure.
