The Senate Deputy Chief Whip and Senator representing Ebonyi North Senatorial District, Senator Peter Onyekachi Nwebonyi has hailed the wife of Ebonyi State Governor, Chief Mrs Uzoamaka Nwifuru ahead of her working visit to the Ebonyi council area.
Mrs Nwifuru will be visiting the Ebonyi local government area to inaugurate her pet projects in Ebonyi council headquarters, Ugbodo on Friday, May 3rd.
The Ebonyi First Lady has toured some other local government areas in the state for a similar program.
While praising the governor's wife, Senator Nwebonyi said, he is particularly glad with her complimentary roles and unalloyed support to her husband, Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru in steering the ship of leadership in Ebonyi state.
"You have been a pillar of support to my dear brother (Governor Nwifuru) through the serenity, peace, love, ambience and pieces of advice you offer to him on daily indeed has translated into the superlative performances posted by our dear leader in all indices of development within the past year as the state Governor.
His words: "As your entourage berth at Ugbodo, the Ebonyi Council headquarters on May 3, 2024, to inaugurate your pet project “BERWO”, I join the Council Chairman, Prince Chinedu Uburu, critical stakeholders and the entire good people of Ebonyi local government area to welcome Your Excellency to the land of peace.
"Your Excellency’s interventions in the lives of women, children and vulnerable groups have earned you accolades and merit awards from reputable organizations and well-meaning individuals. It is therefore my prayer that the Almighty God will continue to imbue you with more wisdom, vigour, vision and vitality to carry out the onerous responsibility of your coveted office.
"Once again, please kindly accept, your Excellency, the assurances of my highest regards and best wishes of the peace-loving people of Ebonyi North Senatorial district."
Also, the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Chief Stephen Uchenna Igwe has felicitated the Ebonyi First Lady on her humanitarian services and other interventions which in his words has distinguished the state positively.
He commended Mrs Nwifuru for remaining committed to changing the ugly narratives heralded in the state in line with her husband, Governor Francis Nwifuru's People's Charter of Needs mantra.
Igwe and other stakeholders from the Ebonyi council area including Special Assistant to the Ebonyi State Governor on Inter-Party Affairs - Comrade Sunday Nwambam, the Echiaba Development Coordinator - Prince Sunday Oketa, and Ozibo Development Centre Coordinator - Mrs Susana Igboke described the one-day working visit to the area as high expected one.
They maintained that the opportunity would be much enjoyed by the Ebonyi council people, especially the rural dwellers who have been awaiting such a shot to express their solidarity in honour of her good works with her husband in the area and the state at large.
