Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has commended the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullah Ganduje, and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma for their commitment to promoting the state's political shared values and ideals.
Nwifuru made the commendation on Sunday during the South East Zonal APC caucus meeting held at the Christian Ecumenical Centre Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.
He described the visit of Ganduje and Uzodinma to Ebonyi as a significant gesture of solidarity and unity for the people of the state.
"I am particularly grateful to the National Chairman of the Party and an astute party Administrator His Excellency, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma - Governor of Imo State.
"Their visit to Ebonyi is a significant gesture of solidarity and unity and we are honored to have them in our beloved State, Ebonyi.
"Sincerely, I appreciate you and members of the National Working Committee, for your tireless efforts in leading our party to greatness and your matchless commitment to our shared values and ideals," the governor said.
He described Ebonyi State as one happy and united family, championing to meet the needs of the people in the state.
He expressed joy that Ebonyi stakeholders across the party lines have agreed to join APC to promote the unity of purpose in the state.
The governor thanked Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, the former Senate President and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Joseph Obinna Ogba; Arc Edward Nkwegu, and other Ebonyi stakeholders joined the APC yesterday, saying they decided to contribute to the development of the state under his watch.
Nwifuru assured the new entrants that they would be fully carried along in the affairs of the APC while working together to build a greater Ebonyi State for the benefit of future generations.
He expressed his administration's commitment to the ideals of the APC by carrying every citizen along and accommodating all shades of opinions in their quest to enthrone peace, urging the stakeholders who defected to the party newly to wholeheartedly join the members' crusade for a new beginning and opportunities offered by the party.
Governor Nwifuru equally appreciated his Deputy, Princess Patricia Onyemachi Obila, the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Moses Odunwa, the State APC Chairman - Chief Stanley Okoro-Emegha, State working Committee members, and the party members for traversing the 13 local government areas of the state to drum support for their party ahead of the grassroots elections slated to hold on Saturday 20th July 2024.
