The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engr Lebechi Mbam has expressed joy over the success records during the 29th National Council on Works, NCW meeting in the state recently.
Mbam who made this known during the weekend commended Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, and his predecessor, now Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi for their contributions towards the transformation of the state and the country in general.
The Commissioner described Nwifuru and Umahia as the influencing factors that ensured the success of the event, with a theme, "unlocking infrastructural potentials and opportunities as a catalyst for sustainable development under renewed hope agenda."
He further appreciated all the stakeholders of the works sector who contributed to the success of the event especially for choosing Ebonyi State to host the program.
He commended the efforts of Governor Francis Nwifuru and Senator David Umahi and described their wise decision towards the transformation of Ebonyi State as an influencing factor that made the meeting possible in the state.
He appreciated the leadership of the Council on Works for the show of professionalism and expertise in programming the event in conformity with the theme, unlocking infrastructural potentials and opportunities as a catalyst for sustainable development under the renewed hope agenda.
He noted that the program would contribute immensely to the development drive towards the nation's prosperity.
He thanked the participants of the program for their contributions, especially on the submission of the memorandum of understanding, adding that the state Ministry of Works would do its best to implement the resolutions by the Council on Works.
