Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Chief Stephen Uchenna Igwe has congratulated the Izhi people as they celebrate the new yam festival popularly known as Ojiji on Sunday.
Igwe in his congratulatory message to his kinsmen and women, observed the people joyfully celebrate their rich cultural festival annually, marking the beginning of the new year according to the Izhi traditional calendar.
He further explained that the Ojiji festival symbolizes renewal, unity, and the richness of the Izhi cultural heritage.
His words: "On behalf of my family, staff, and the entire good people of Izzinodo, I, Chief Stephen Uchenna Igwe, extend warm congratulations to our beloved community as we joyfully celebrate our cherished OJIJI (New Yam Festival) today!
