The People Of Amoffia Community in Ohaukwu local Government Areas of Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria have elected, Coronated and presented Elect, His Royal Highness Gabriel Enyi Udu, to the Coordinator of Ngbo East Development Center, Mr Alike Isaac Uchenna.
The election has brought to the kingdom the 'Uduma Elechi II of Amoffia'
The Presentation was done to further authenticate the election of the new king.
The Town Union President of Amoffia Development Union, Mr Nwali Chinedu disclosed this during the presentation of the new king at the Development Center Headquarters, Agugwu.
Nwali said the people of his community were happy to have a new king after over three years without a Traditional Rural.
He said the presentation became necessary to enable the Coordinator present the new king to the Local Government Chairman for proper documentation so that he can receive staff office from the Governor.
He said he was very comfortable with the processes with which the King was elected.
Immediately after the presentation which was heralded by different Cultural troops, the Coordinator of the Development Center, Mr Alike Isaac Uchenna thanked them for doing the rudimentary thing of bringing the new king to his office.
Mr Alike urged the people of the Amoffia to always give the new king the respect that's due to him.
"I am very happy by the Mammoth Crowd that brought our king to this place, please let it continue because it is a sign of respect and oneness. It also showed the acceptability of the King by the people of the Amoffia". Alike said.
"Eze is a symbol of leadership and authority in a community. He is the first point of Government and Chief Security officer in a community. His Statement gave me hope when he said that he has made a plan on how to empower the Youths and make their lives better. That has made my job very easy as a Coordinator because we are going to work together to achieve that.
Earlier while presenting the Traditional Ruler to the Coordinator, one of the major Stakeholders in Ngbo East Development Center, Mr Jonah Egba who has served Ebonyi State Government in various capacities including being a Commissioner in different Ministries In the State, enjoins the people of the community to always respect and give Honor to the new king because he was elected on the divine platform.
The representative of the women's group, Mrs Obazi Margret, used the opportunity to urge the Youths to emulate the good virtues of the new king, who has been peaceful and respectful since he was a child.
Mrs Obazi prayed for the peaceful reign of the new king.
One of the Eldest, Mr Steven Ede Onwe invoked the power of God upon the new king.
One of the Youths, Mr Emeka Obazi, who is also a Management Committee member, expressed Joy over the election, coronation and presentation of the new king.
Other personalities who spoke in one accord during the presentation were Mr Paul Uwa, Dr Ndubuisi Agbo, Mr Akpu Chukwuma, and Mr Okechukwu Okpuru.
In appreciation, the new Traditional Ruler, His Royal Highness Gabriel Enyi Udu, who spoke with a joyful voice, promised to rule the people of the Community with peace an,d, most importantly, with fear of God.
HRH Enyi Udu promised to prioritize the Youths in all his activities in the Community.
"I urge everyone to come let's join hands to rebuild our kingdom to an enviable height". He pleaded.
