A member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal constituency, Comrade Chinedu Ogah has paid the bail charges of ten inmates in Maiduguri Correctional Center.
Ogah paid the bail charges during the weekend while on oversight function at Maiduguri prison with other colleagues who are members of the House Committee on Reformatory Institutions.
Ogah, the Chairman of the House Committee on Reformatory Institutions, after going through the case files of the inmates, directed the Magistrate Court for the release of the inmates.
Information revealed that some of them were still under detention for their inability to cover their bail charges.
As it stands now, the presence and power exercised by Ogah, bringing to the release of these inmates, has made them reunite with their different families and enjoy life as usual.
The record has it that this is the only Assembly where her chairman and members of House Cthe Committee on Reformatory Institutions played a vital, active role and have been very effective in matters concerning inmates.
Cheering commendations have been flying around Maiduguri and its neighbourhoods for the release of their sons and daughters.
