The Director General of Ebonyi Broadcasting Corporation (EBBC), Comrade Anthony Nwizi has congratulated the newly elected President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Alhassan Yahya.
In a congratulatory message titled, "It was a payback time; Indeed we delivered," signed by Nwizi and made available to Journalists on Thursday in Abakaliki, they described Yahya's emergence as a new chapter for the union.
He expressed confidence in the ability of the new NUJ President to continue to steer the union with wisdom, integrity, and vision, further strengthening the commitment to the ideals of journalism in Nigeria.
Nwizi, a former Chairman of NUJ in Ebonyi State, also commended the immediate past President, Dr Chris Isiguzo, MFR, for his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment throughout his tenure.
According to him, Isiguzo's dedication to ensuring a free, fair, and credible election process, where equity and fairness prevailed, deserves special recognition
