Visiting Godswill Akpabio FC forced Abakaliki Football Club to a barren draw in their second home match of the ongoing National League season inside the main bowl of Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium Abakaliki.
It was a highly technical capacity display between the host Abakaliki FC and the visiting Godswill Akpabio FC as they were numbers of scoring opportunities that could not be converted to goal.
It is the third league game for the newly acquired Abakaliki FC whose opener against a Lagos based NNL club, Madibia FC ended in a two all draw their last weekend's two tie against an Ibadan based team on away soil ended on a two five loss for the Rice boys.
Meanwhile the performance of the home team has continued to improve compare to what was observed in their previous matches.
In his reaction after match, the Chief Coach of Abakaliki FC, Ifeanyi Onyedika expressed displeasure on the inability of his boys to win the match by securing only two points from nine points in three matches.
Onyedika however pledged to work seriously on the team's middle players and strikers to enable them score goals in the next tournament.
Meanwhile, the technical adviser of Godswill Akpabio FC, Patrick Udo argued that getting a draw here did not impress him and promised to do more work to break the jinx as the team are yet to score any goal in their last three matches when the league resumed
