The Special Assistant to the Governor of Ebonyi State on Inter-Party Affairs, Comrade Sunday Nwambam, has urged the citizens of the state to strive to make their families, communities, and the entire parts of the state a better place to live for the next generations.
Nwambam, in his 2024 Christmas message to the Ebonyi people on Wednesday, urged them to reflect on the purpose of their living on this planet Earth as they observe this festival period.
He said: "It's important we reflect on the purpose of our living on this Christmas day by emulating Christ Jesus through demonstration of true love, serving humanity, and uplifting one another in our lifetime.
"We must strive to carry this spirit into the 2025 New Year by making our families, communities, and state even better habitable for the next generations."
Nwambam commended Governor Francis Nwifuru for his leadership style, which he said has continued to illuminate the path toward a greater Ebonyi State.
He described the Nwifuru administration's commitment to human and infrastructure development as an inspiration to other aspiring leaders to work tirelessly to ensure a peaceful atmosphere in the state, especially during this festival period in their various homes and towns.
He further urged all the members of all political parties in Ebonyi and the entire people of the state to continue to be supportive of the government in power, noting that Governor Nwifuru had shown capacity in terms of the all-inclusive leadership since his assumption of office.
According to him, Ebonyi people should be courageous to continue to show resilience, creativity, and a sense of community that can embody the true spirit of this season.
"Let's strive to be peaceful and united as we are building a state where compassion, justice, and shared prosperity will thrive regardless of our socio-economic backgrounds, political affiliations, and even religions.
"I wish you a Merry Christmas filled with joy, peace, and abundant blessings of God, praying that 2025 will bring us closer to fulfilling our shared visions and dreams for a prosperous Ebonyi State, the Salt of the Nation."
