The member representing Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency, Pastor Eze Nwachukwu Eze, yesterday distributed Hijet Daihatsu mini-trucks and grinding machines with foodstuffs and phantoms of wrappers to his constituents in the spirit of the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year festivities.
Addressing his constituents during the distribution of the items at his Ndiagu Eze Umuogudo Akputa Ngbo ancestral compound in Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi State, Eze said the beneficiaries of the mini truck vehicles and grinding machines would be 20 in number respectively.
The lawmaker said the wrappers and foodstuffs, including bags of rice and cartons of indomie noodles numbering over thousands, would be distributed to his constituents individually, and by their respective groups and political wards.
The former APC State Chairman stated that he has procured motorcycles and tricycles, popularly known as Keke-nappe, plastic chairs, and tables to offer his constituents as festival gifts.
He commended some of the beneficiaries of the gift items for having been committed to the activities of the All Progressives Congress, APC since the formation of the party to date.
He recalled that some of the beneficiaries were intimidated during the 2019 elections by the then members of the ruling People's Democratic Party, PDP but they never gave up till the APC clinched a seat of power in Ebonyi State.
Eze extolled the leadership of Ebonyi State Governor, Chief Francis Nwifuru, whom he said his administration had ended bitter politics and unhealthy opposition relationships with the ruling party in the governance of the state.
He urged his constituents to continue to support the present administration both at the national, state, and grassroots levels and assured them of effective representation at the Green Chambers.
An APC chieftain, Mr. Linus Nwogbaga, and his co-beneficiaries of the distributed Hijet Daihatsu mini-trucks, among other items, commended the lawmaker for his kind gesture and assured him of their unalloyed support in his office.
They further commended Eze for having worked with relevant stakeholders to bring peace between his constituents and their neighboring Benue community, especially the Agila.
