The Member -One in Ebonyi state Secondary Education Board, Chief Lazarus Eze has distributed bags of rice ,wrappers and other food items to Over one hundred indigent Widows in Mbeke Ishieke Community as their Christmas and New Year gifts.
At the ceremony in his residence at Ishiophu- Mmiri Ishieke village, chief Lazarus Eze explained that the gesture was part of his contributions to give the indigent widows and underprivileged persons in the area, a sense of belonging and to enable them to celebrate Christmas and New Year with others.
He appealed to the widows to be faithful and depend in God always to overcome temptations in their lives.
Chief Eze also commended Governor Francis Nwifuru for given him the opportunity to serve in his administration.
Some of the beneficiaries, Mrs Alice Nwodomoke, Rosa Ogbuinya,
Cecilia Nwegede, and Mrs Nwiziogo Oshim who could not hide their feelings thanked chief Lazarus Eze for the gifts and prayed God to continue protect and reward him.
The occasion was well attended by well-wishers, and APC Chairman Mbeke Ward.
