The celebration held at his country home Ibula-Izzicha, Edda Community in Abakaliki Local Government Area was attended by elderly men, women, widows, village heads and youths from the six villages that makes up of the zone.
In his remarks, the Governor's aide expressed gratititude to God for given the people of the zone life and peaceful atmosphere to observe the festival period.
Mbam said he deemed it fit to celebrate with the people of the zone so as to give them a sense of belongings and also "to complement the efforts of Governor Francis Nwifuru whose adminstration is committed to improving the living standard of Ebonyi people through his People's Charter of Needs mantra in the State.
Mbam who commended Governor Nwifuru for appointing him to serve in his adminstration and the gift of a brand new Jeep, expressed satisfaction on the leadership ingenuity of the governor in the State especially in the human capital development.
He charged the people of Edda zone two to continue being supportive to the polices and programmes of the State government under the leadership of Chief Francis Nwifuru to reap more dividends of democracy in the area.
The Governor's aide further enjoined the people to ensure total peace in all the nooks and crannies of the zone as no meaningful development would be achieved in the atmosphere of rancour and acrimony and called for more love and unity of purpose among one another while assuring them of his continued support to better their lots.
Some stakeholders who bared their minds including the town union president of Edda Community Mr. Nwalike Solomon, Mr. Ogbodo Uchenna APC chairman Edda ward 9, Mr. Amechi Nwojiji chairman Edda Zone two, Friday Awoke chairman Izzicha youth Assembly Abakaliki branch among others applauded the philanthropic disposition of the Governor's aide, describing the gesture as very apt.
They extolled Governor Nwifuru for appointing Hon. Mbam into such exaltive position and expressed convinction that he would contribute his quota towards the growth and development of the State while expressing the support of Edda people for his second tenure bid so as to continue his good works in the State.
Some of the beneficiaries who couldn't hide their joy on the Christmas celebration including Mrs Christiana Okemini, Nkechi Ebele, Peter Idoma, Mathias Onyibe among others lauaded the special assistant to the Governor for remembering them in this yuletide season and prayed God to replenished him in millionfold while wishing him more bigger positions in the nearest future.
Highlights of the event were the distribution of bags of rice, undisclosed amount of money to the people and cultural display by different groups.
