The Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has commended the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) for its intervention efforts in the state's tertiary institutions. This commendation was made during the official commissioning of TETFUND completed projects in Ebonyi State University (EBSU), Abakaliki.
Governor Nwifuru represented by his Deputy, Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila, acknowledged the significant impact of TETFUND's support in enhancing the infrastructure and educational standards in the state's tertiary institutions. He expressed sincere gratitude to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the Renewed Hope Initiative, which aims to boost infrastructure development in tertiary institutions nationwide.
The Governor also thanked the House Committee Chairman on TETFUND and other services, Rt. Hon. Miriam Odinaka Onuoha, and the Executive Secretary of TETFUND, for their unwavering support in ensuring Ebonyi State accesses the funds made available by TETFUND. He reaffirmed his administration's commitment to providing necessary support to maximize the benefits of TETFUND intervention programs for the state's tertiary institutions.
Earlier, the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on TETFUND and other services, Rt. Hon. Princess Miriam Odinaka Onuoha, and the Executive Secretary of TETFUND, Arc Sonny Echono represented by the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, Arch Babatunde Olajide, expressed their gratitude to the state for utilizing the funds and promised more partnerships with the State Government for future intervention programs.
The outgoing Vice-Chancellor of Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, Elder Prof. Chigozie Ogbu, and the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Prof. Amari Omaka, thanked Governor Nwifuru for his commitment to improving infrastructure development in the state's tertiary institutions and pleaded for more interventions from TETFUND.
