The Anambra State Government has vowed to take action against fraudulent religious leaders engaged in the sale of so-called healing waters, oils, and other deceptive practices.
Speaking on the development, the state’s Commissioner for Information, Dr. Mefor, stated that the government will target fake prophecies, staged miracles, and other dubious activities that exploit the public and promote crime or get-rich-quick schemes.
He further emphasized that the newly enacted Anambra State Homeland Security Law will not spare any individual or group involved in criminal activities, regardless of the religious guise under which they operate.
