Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has sacked two of his two aides and warned them not to near government house and functions.
Nwifuru's sacked aides included his Senior Special Assistant on Security in Ebonyi North, Mr Felix Okemini popularly known as Jango and his Special Assistant on Airport Security, Mr Nnanna Nwangele.
The Secretary of State Government, Professor Grace Umezurike made this known on Tuesday in Abakaliki.
Umezurike said the governor approved for the dismissal of his two aides from their offices following their act of gross misconduct.
According her, Nwifuru has directed the sacked officers to hand over every government property in their possession to the Secretary to the State Government before 4pm on Tuesday.
She added that the governor warned the sacked officers should not be seen around the government house or participate in government functions in the state.
"Consequently, the officers should hand over all government properties in their possession to the Secretary to Ebonyi State Government, no later than 4pm today, March 18, 2025.
"The officers should, henceforth, not be seen anywhere around the Government House or participate in any Government activity," she said.
