The Immediate Past Commissioner for youth Development and Sports in Ebonyi state, Hon. Charles Akpu-enika has felicitated the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi on the award of the outstanding Minister of the Year by Silverbird Television.
Akpu--enika who served as commissioner during Umahi's eight-years reign as Ebonyi state governor, described the award as "deserving to a wonder working minister"
The President of United Brothers Club described Umahi as the Grandmaster of Infrastructural Development who has replicated his.wondrous strides in Ebonyi, nationally.
"I, on behalf of my family, passionately congratulate my Mentor and Boss, H.E. Sen. Engr. David Umahi on this profound and well deserved honour.
"One does not actually know where to start in describing or penning tributes on you because you are an enigma, colossus, phenomen and catalyst.
"The evergreen saying that a Golden Fish has no Hiding Place, best applies to you as for 8 solid years, you changed the infrastructural narratives of Ebonyi state.
"You erected wondrous, monumental edifices and other facilities that have not been seen anywhere in the country,"
He noted that out from the blues, the hitherto unknown Ebonyi became a Dubai--model of Nigeria, where even the developed states, come to learn and improve on what they have.
" Ebonyi is now an infrastructural, tourist--haven and when you were done in Ebonyi, Nigeria engaged you.
" You could not hide because you are too illuminous to be hidden and literally had to be dragged from the Senate to replicate the Ebonyi wonder, in Nigeria.
" You heeded the call and what we have today, is a steady solution to the infrastructural decay in the country with roads, bridges among other facilities, springjing in all corners of the country.
Akpu--enika noted that more was still being expected from the minister and thanked
President, Bola Ahmed.Tinubu (GCFR) for delectably identifying and giving Umahi the chance, to change the tide.
"The President should indeed be a.proud man because he made the right choice.
