A Group, South East Renaissance Forum has extolled Minister of Works, David Umahi for ensuring that massive facelift is being given to federal roads in the south east zone of the country.
The Group's National President, Timothy Atoegbu, gave the praise in an interview with newsmen in Abakaliki, noting that the Minister has brought his magic wand in road construction to the zone and country.
Atoegbu remarked that roads in the zone have hitherto suffered abject neglect but the coming of the its illustrious son, Umahi, brought the messianic splendour.
"From the massive flyover at the once trouble-spot: Eke Obinagu flyover along the Enugu-Abakakiki express road, the dualisation of the same highway, the Enugu-Onitsha, Enugu- Port Harcourt, Owerri-Umuahia express roads among others, it has been songs of joy from the people.
"The heart glad-ning aspect is that these were promises made under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu and they have all been fulfilled.
"The same story is being heard all over the country as federal roads across the country have never experienced such massive turn around,".
He urged south easterners and entire Nigerians to appreciate this massive gesture by ensuring that the President returns to office in 2027.
"The best measure to continue enjoying unfettered democratic dividends is to sustain a prevailing legacy.
"The renewed hope agenda is a veritable prevailing legacy and its initiator, President Tinubu deserves to be supported to conclude his God- given tenure.
"When this happens, we all can be sure that infrastructural icons such as Umahi would still actively be around to deliver qualitative service to Igbos and entire Nigeria," he said.
