This was made known by the chairman during a courtesy visit of the members of the Mezie Edda grassroots movement who met him in Abakaliki, the state capital.
Chima, who gave the disclosure, maintained that economic development in the area is dependent upon certain infrastructures, which his administration is committed to ensuring its delivery for the benefits of the people.
"Work is already going for us to come up with a good standard market in Edda, because what we have today is a shame for a clan as big as Edda. We are already working to bring a befitting market to a clan as big as Edda.
"All of these things we are doing are to boost the financial strength of our people. When some say that we need a bank, they should understand that there are certain things that must be put in place in order to attract the banks, and whatever we are doing is all about the people." He said
This media also learnt that Prince Chima, popularly referred to as Mezie Edda, has engaged in providing free medical care for his people, scholarships, and established Edda mass transit for ease of transportation, among others.
Earlier, while speaking for the Mezie Edda grassroots movement, its organising secretary, Hon. Okoro Orji Patrick, commended the administration, saying it has shown a remarkable level of commitment towards transforming Edda LGA and improving the lives of its people.
"We want to applaud the Chairman of Edda LGA, Hon. Chima Ekumankama, for his dedication to delivering impactful, people-centred projects in the Local Government Area.
"On the recent foundation-laying ceremony of the construction of Edda modern market Eke Nte Ite, we want to commend Hon. Ekumankama for embracing the development vision championed by the Ebonyi State Governor, which is anchored on his People's chartered needs agenda.
"The construction of Edda modern market Eke Nte Ite is a clear testament to his passion for transforming the local government area and creating an environment that supports effective governance,” he added.
The Mezie Edda grassroots movement has equally pledged total support for Prince Chima Nkama and called on everyone in Edda to continue to rally behind him to ensure the successful realisation of his goals.
