The Wife of Ebonyi State Governor Chief (Mrs) Mary Maudline Nwifuru has consoled with the state former commissioner for education Professor John Eke over the death of his beloved wife Mrs Elizabeth Eke who died at the of 59 years.
Mrs Nwifuru who paid a condolence visit to the family in Abakaliki, expressed a deep shock over the sudden death of late Mrs Eke and assured of her support to the family.
The Governor's wife who described death as inevitable end of life, urged the beareved family not to cry hopelessly but take solace in God in view of the fact that she lived a fulfilled life while on earth.
She also described the demise of late Mrs Eke as a great loss not only to the family but the State at large and prayed God Almighty to accept her soul in his bossom.
The husband of the deceased and former Commissioner for education in Ebonyi State Professor John Eke expressed sadness over the sudden demise of his beloved wife, saying that their marriage had just clocked forty years and she became sick in their forty years anniversary and died but though wouldn't blame God for taken her away from him.
He thanked the Governor's wife for identifying with his family at the sorrowful moment and prayed for the soul of his late wife to rest in peace.
The first daughter of the deceased Chacha Eke frowned at the abrupt demise of her beloved mother, adding that she died when her motherly advise is cherished most while promising to uphold the legacies left behind by the late mother.
Mrs Nwifuru was accompanied to the visit by the wife of the speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, the member representing Ebonyi north east in Ebonyi State house of Assembly Hon. Chinyere Nwogbaga, team lead BERWO Professor Nkechi Echiegu among others.
