The Deputy President of the club, Dr Kelechukwu Okezie told newsmen during a press briefing that the occasion would be used to celebrate the club's four years of existence and celebrate its bond, unity and vision.
Okezie said that the individuals to be honoured, through their actions and philanthropy, have uplifted mankind and generally impacted greatly on society.
"The occasion will be chaired by Former Nigerian Ambassador to Greece and Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ambassador Frank Ogbuewu.
"The careful selection of the awardees embodies the very ideals upon which the club was founded as the spotlight on them, serves as an inspiration to us within the brotherhood,".
He listed the other awardees aside from Senators Nwebonyi and Eze including Senator Anthony Agbo, Arc. Christian Asaga, Rt.Hon. Chinedu Atu, Hon. Emma Uguru, Hon. Nwachukwu Eze, and Rt. Hon. Idu Igariwey.
The other awardees include: Engr. Lebechi Mbam, Chief Monday Oke, Dr Ken Ugbala and Chief Moses Ogodo-Ali Nome among others.
"Senator Nwebonyi is being honoured as the Icon of Effective Representation for his unrivalled dedication to public service and unwavering commitment to his constituents.
"Arc. Christian Asaga is being honoured as the Beacon of Hope, a well-deserved honour for a man whose life continues to inspire and empower others,"
Okezie said that the club remains indebted to two visionary leaders of the state, Governor Francis Nwifuru and the Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi for their support and inspiration.
"While we honour the awardees, we appreciate both leaders' imprints which have significantly shaped Ebonyi State and Nigeria.
"We pledge our unalloyed loyalty to Nwifuru whose programmes for the continued development of the state, continue to inspire pride in us.
"We thank Umahi for his relentless drive for infrastructural development and national progress.
"Umahi has opened roads both literarily and figuratively that would carry generations forward,".
The club's deputy president also eulogised the club's Board of Trustees (BOT) for successfully electing its executive and the members for their unalloyed support.
