Governor Francis Nwifuru has congratulated the 2023 gubernatorial candidate of the People's Democratic Party, PDP in Ebonyi State, Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii ( Anyichuks) as he marked his birthday anniversary.
Odii, an Ebonyi-born business magnet was the closest rival of Nwifuru, a two-term Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly during the last governorship elections in the state.
Odii challenged Nwifuru's victory as the Ebonyi State Governor after being declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC following his overwhelming votes at polls during the exercise till the Supreme Court nulled his lawsuits.
However, Odii on his birthday celebration today, despite the speculations that Nwifuru would not congratulate him, the governor had described him as a committed Ebonyian to enterprise, philanthropy, and public service in the society.
The governor posted the congratulatory note to Odii on his confirmed social media wall on Thursday.
"Happy birthday to you, my dear brother, Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii. Your commitment to enterprise, philanthropy, and public service remains deeply inspiring.
"Though we stood on different platforms during the last gubernatorial election, I have always held your vision, courage, and dedication to our state in high regard. Democracy thrives on such spirited participation and shared love for our people.
"As you celebrate your birthday today, I pray that God grants you long life and good health to fulfil His purpose for you on earth.
"Once more, I congratulate you on your 50th birthday today. Cheers," Nwifuru said.
It could be recalled that Governor Nwifuru on 25th February this year marked his 50th birthday anniversary, and used the opportunity to commission the edifices built for a Catholic community in the state.
But NATIONAL PANEL is yet to find out if Anyichuks congratulated Nwifuru on his 50th birthday anniversary till date.
