The Newly elected Board of Trustees (BOT) Treasurer of the Eternal Brothers Club, Hon. Maxwell Umahi, has said that the new executive will assist in uplifting the club, to make it achieve its goals and aspirations.
Hon. Umahi who is the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Ebonyi State Governor on Urban Development, said that the new BOT executive consists of men with proven integrity who have carved niches for themselves in various endeavours.
The "Mayor" as he is fondly called in the political and social circles, said that the BOT will cooperate with the Hon. Charles Akpu-Anika led club's executive to place the club at the highest pedestal in the state.
"You can confirm that the peaceful and transparent nature of the elections is a testament to the orderliness which exists in the Club and the members' resolve to achieve set goals.
"The BOT will also operate transparently to ensure that the much-needed collaboration with the executive bears the needed fruits.
"We would provide the needed guidance and impetus for the executive to thrive, to ensure that the high standard and targets which the club set for itself is maintained and even surpassed,"
It will be recalled that the Club recently elected a new executive for its BOT with the Ebonyi State Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Hon. Richard Idike emerging as the Chairman.
The contestants emerged unopposed with Hon. Uche Muoka. (Shaba) emerging Vice Chairman, Barr. Emeka Anosike - -Secretary and Chief Sunday Inyima - -State Commissioner for Capital City Development ---Duke (Liaison Officer)
The other elected officers include Hon.. Maxwell Umahi (Mayor) the Senior Special Assistant to the Ebonyi State Governor on Urban Development---Treasurer and Nze Jude Umegbolu - - Protocol.
The Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Deacon Joseph Ununu (Zuma Rock) noted that the election was transparent as the contestants knew it was a call to service.
The club also used the opportunity of the election and inauguration, to present its 2025 budget which its Chairman Idike promised will be painstakingly reviewed and submitted to the House.
